Biography, Education and Training
Gabriel Salomon Mindel is an interdisciplinary artist and scholar whose research considers the ways that people produce and struggle for space using sound to extend beyond the limits of their bodies, particularly in formal and informal modes of protest. He had previously attended undergraduate studies at UCSC before dropping out in his second year and has since received an MFA from Simon Fraser University. He has also spent nearly two decades exhibiting artwork, performing improvised music and composing for dance and film.
