Biography, Education and Training

A Ph.D. candidate in the Literature department, I focus broadly on late nineteenth and early twentieth-century French and Anglo-American literature. Prior to beginning my graduate studies at UCSC, I received an M.A. in Comparative French and Anglo-American Literature at San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in Modern Literary Studies from UCSC.

My dissertation project specifically focuses on an influential group of nineteenth-century writers who comprised the literary and erotic movement known as “Sapho 1900," and much of whose literary work remains untranslated and relatively unexplored.
