Modern Chinese history (late Qing through present), immigration history, and Shanghai

Biography, Education and Training

Education:

  • BA, Cum Laude, International Affairs (triple minor: History, Chinese Language, and Ancient Mediterranean Studies), Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas.
  • Previously studied with the following scholars:
    • the late Dr. Mary Ann Tétreault, the emeritus Una Chapman Cox Distinguished Professor of International Affairs, and
    • Dr. Donald Clarke, the emeritus Murchison Professor of History at Trinity University in San Antonio.

Professional Experience:

  • Previous career as a paralegal for criminal and civil litigation law firms in San Antonio, Texas
