My research interests include, but are not limited to:

-cultural and intellectual history of the United States

-American Civil War, Reconstruction, Gilded Age, Progressive Era

-US involvement in Southeast Asia (1950-1974)

-The United States in a global context

-epistemology and philosophy of historical methodology

-memory and public history
