Rebecca Hernandez is the inaugural Community Archivist at the UCSC University Library. In this job talk, she will tell us about her educational journey as a first-generation transfer student and share insights and reflections from her professional path. Learn more about Rebecca:

Rebecca Hernandez earned a PhD in American Studies, specializing in American Indian art and material culture. She also holds an MA in American Indian Studies and an MFA in Exhibition Design and Museum Studies. With a wealth of experience in higher education, Rebecca has worked as both an administrator and a student affairs professional. Currently serving as the inaugural Community Archivist at the UC Santa Cruz University Library, she collaborates with community members to preserve the rich history and cultural heritage of Santa Cruz County.
