The Siobhan O'Neill Memorial Scholarship

The Siobhan O’Neill Memorial Scholarship, founded by Siobhan's sister Patricia O'Neill and other family and friends, supports a History student with an interest in art and/or government, based on merit. The inaugural scholarship was given the 2019-20 academic year.

Hello! My name is Brianna Aispuro and I'm a History Major at here at UCSC. I'm from Los Angeles, California, born and raised in East L.A. I am a Panamanian Mexican-American trying to make my way through the field of history to represent and tell the stories of those who are underrepresented in history books and conversations. I am a product of my parents, my dad being the first person in my family to go to college and get a degree. A large interest of mine is that I want to travel and experience the world before I truly settle in one spot and I want to bring a fresh perspective into the field I want to go to. I hope the historical community is in need of a fresh face!
