2022-23 Jay Family Scholar
Hello everyone! My name is Leslie Marquez (she/hers/ella). I am a fourth year double major in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) and Legal Studies. During my time here at UCSC I have had the honor to work with amazing organizations such as Engaging Education, TWANAS, MEChA, and currently in SUA as Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion. I’m very passionate about giving back to my community and using creative expression as a form of social justice and healing! I am very grateful to the Jay Humanities Scholarship for providing me the opportunity to continue pursuing my passions and giving back to my community. I hope to continue the fight for justice in all creative mediums and through education!
