Jewish Studies

Hi, I’m Masha Smith, an undergraduate in Jewish Studies. I am currently writing a novel about anti-semitism, and I am Vice President of Communications on the student Santa Cruz Hillel board. What inspired me to major in Jewish Studies was my grandpa Thomas Blatt, a Holocaust survivor from the death camp Sobibor. I have traveled to Poland for the 75th and 80th anniversary of the Sobibor Revolt and I am in a documentary about the descendants of survivors with my family. In the future, I would like to get a Master’s degree in Holocaust studies and work in Holocaust education.
