Global Engagement International Summer Research Program

The division of Global Engagement is again seeking project proposals from faculty for its International Summer Research Program (ISRP), which invites highly motivated undergraduate and masters students from international partner universities to apply to engage in summer research internships in projects/labs with UCSC faculty mentors. See here for a list of universities from which applicants may be drawn. Expenses are paid by the student's home campus and local arrangements made by Global Engagement.

This past summer, eight student interns were hosted on campus by UCSC faculty in BSOE, and divisions of science, and social sciences. Global Engagement is eager to continue expanding participation across all divisions in summer 2025, including Humanities!

If you are interested in hosting one or more international student interns for research projects on campus in summer 2025 (June 23-August 15), please submit a project proposal here: https://forms.gle/UKt8DR5Hb4tgKDt99 . Projects will be circulated with students at partner universities after November 1, 2024 so please submit by then. (If you submit later, your project can still be circulated but you may miss some early applicants.) You will be contacted with a list of applicants in mid-January 2023 and given the opportunity to select the students.

If you have any questions, you can contact Partnership and Program Manager Colin Cole (macocole@ucsc.edu).
