The Friends of Dickens Endowment

The Dickens Project at the University of California is a scholarly consortium devoted to promoting the study and enjoyment of the life, time and work of Charles Dickens. The Projects was founded in 1981 and is headquartered at UC Santa Cruz. The Friends of Dickens Endowment was established to provide operating funds for the Dickens Project. As a Multi-Campus Research Unit, the Project receives funding from the UC Office of the President as well as other member universities; however, having an endowment will help offset budget cuts and ensure the continuation of the Dickens Universe.
