Our staffed office is located in Humanities 1-Room 215. Location information for our other centers can be found here.


The Academic Service Centers are here to provide drop-in and scheduled faculty services to ladder-rank faculty, senate members, LSOE, lecturers, visiting teaching faculty, graduate student instructors (Associate-In and Teaching Fellows) and emeriti faculty.

Drop-In Services

Mailroom Support

  • Faculty mailboxes for both campus and USPS mail
  • Postage and mailing supplies for university-related correspondence
  • Assistance with mailing documents/packages during staffed hours

Copying/Scanning Services

Due to staffing shortages, as of May 22, 2018 the Academic Service Center in Humanities 1 will have impacted turnaround times for scanning / printing requests. Please plan accordingly and submit your request well in advance of your deadline. 

  • Staffed copying/scanning services – Copy/Scan request forms can be found at every Academic Service Center, or you can print them out here.
  • Self-service printing – Staff will provide copier/printer code, self-printing guidance for Ricoh secure printers. Ricoh copying instructions can be found here

  • Provide standard office supplies

  • Paper & Cardboard

  • Compost & Food Waste

  • Batteries

Technical Support

  • Basic computer troubleshooting
  • Assistance with MS Office and Google Apps
  • Assistance with connectivity to local printers and eduroam wifi
  • Assistance with media cabinet
  • Provide IT supplies such as: Ethernet cables, dongles, power supplies, mice, and portable projectors

Quarterly Desk Copy Requests

As of 5/22/18 you will need to request desk copies directly through publishers. Check the publisher's website for instructions.

Quarterly Library Reserve Requests

As of 5/22/18 you should request library reserves for courses directly through the University Library. Please go to https://guides.library.ucsc.edu/reserves/instructors for further information.
